It has been life changing for me and very eye opening.” - recent participant, San Diego, California

The vast majority of parents and caregivers find themselves at a loss when trying to help their children deal with any grieving experience that impacts them. This 4-week program is designed to teach parents, school counsellors, administrators, children’s ministry workers, youth mentors and anyone else who cares about the children in their lives the necessary tools to help them effectively deal with their broken hearts, no matter the loss they are facing. Moving house, a divorce in the family, the loss of a pet, bullying, gender dysphoria in oneself or a friend, death of a schoolmate by suicide or any other circumstance…all these and so much more are deeply disturbing events for the children in our lives. We owe it to them to know how to help them process these things well.

Top photo: September, 2023. Our team in Russia completed the translation of When Children Grieve (Когда Горюют Дети). Several of our Grief Recovery Method® Specialists in the Russian Federation celebrate receiving their first copy of the book.

Bottom photo: Our Ukrainian GRM® Specialists embark upon the translation of When Children Grieve from English into Ukrainian. We are looking forward to the first printing in Kyiv in the Ukrainian language of The Grief Recovery Handbook by December 2023.

The war in Ukraine has introduced a myriad of new losses to grieve, for Grief Recovery Method® Specialists living on both sides of the front lines. Against this backdrop of ongoing horror and tragedy, I am proud of the fact that we are able to continue to work together to bring help to as many grieving people as possible in the shortest amount of time. It has become so much harder. Our hearts are broken as we limp along together. We have a Go Fund Me page for the current Grief Recovery Method® translation work in Ukrainian and will shortly open one for the final steps of the Russian language translation of the Helping Children with Loss program. We are deeply grateful for all the help and support we continue to receive for this important work.
